    VMProtect provides code obfuscation for 32- and 64-bit file formats such as .exe, .dll and .sys. Native Visual Basic is one of its five supported compilers.

    The recently released TotalView Debugger 8.2 now includes support for the SiCortex supercomputer, the Cray XT4 platform, Fedora Core 6, Mac OS X Leopard and Ubuntu.

  • PreEmptive announces new obfuscation product, support for Silverlight (
    PreEmptive Solutions recently announced Dotfuscator Gold, the first comprehensive obfuscation and instrumentation platform that protects, analyzes and monetizes .NET applications. It also announced support for Microsoft Silverlight 1.1 alpha.

    Infragistics' presentation layer development suite has added tools for developing dashboard controls and for improving a Web site's search engine optimization.

  • Nevron .NET Vision adds skin manager, tree layouts
    Nevron has updated the three tools within its .NET Vision suite, adding functionality such as a skin manager, graphical tree layouts and a ToolTip customization control.

  • Perpetuum updates data visualization, BI reporting tools
    The company's chart-building tool offers a WYSIWYG designer, while its BI reporting tool has an improved syntax editor and a beefed-up toolbar.

  • ILOG Diagrammer for .NET supports WinForms, Web Forms, Ajax (TheServerSide.NET)
    Software maker has released ILOG Diagrammer for .NET. The company, which edged into the .NET space a couple of years ago with ILOG Gantt for .NET thus furthers its foray into .NET and beyond the Java space in which it has offered SDKs and advanced components for some time.

    Symantec is making a strong play for the .NET application performance management market space with the release of version 8 of its i3 portfolio for monitoring, analyzing and diagnosing performance and availability bottlenecks. The i3 application performance management portfolio adds .NET and SQL Server support to SmartLink and SmarTune.
