Web content manager adds wiki, geomapping support, markup language

Ektron's CMS400.NET 7.0 has added support for wikis, GPS mapping and taxonomy in enterprise Web apps. It has also added a markup language so developers need not use XSLT.

Category: Tools and Platforms

Description: CMS400.NET is a Web content management and deployment application from Ektron. Sites built using CMS400.NET can include features such as blogs and multimedia, while developers can use site analytics tools, turn Microsoft Office documents into html files and set a variety of Web site rules.

The latest version, v7.0, adds hierarchical taxonomy support, improved search capabilities, support for wikis and forums, and GPS mapping technology that supports Microsoft Virtual Earth and Google Maps. In addition, the product introduces the Ektron Markup Language, which lets developers link Format Input Tag files to a page's individual server controls, thus eliminating the need to use XSLT.
