Windows CardSpace is the code name for an identity management component in Microsoft's upcoming WinFX product suite. With InfoCard, end users create a digital file on their own computer that includes user-specific information, like a work phone number, e-mail address or snail mail address. Users are able to save several different profiles and use whichever profile is appropriate for a certain situation.
Windows Presentation Foundation, or WPF, is Microsoft's development tool for Web applications and rich client applications. With WPF, developers can use XAML, the Extensible Application Markup Language, to create custom controls, graphics, 3D images and animations that are not available in traditional HTML implementations.
