My start page in VS.NET opened up completely blank this morning with just the My Profiles link in the upper left corner. I usually have the last 10 files as hyperlinks in the middle of the page and several other hyperlinks on the left side. This happened to me before, and the only thing that fixed it was reinstalling VS.NET. Is there a better solution?
You can access the Start Page from the Help menu. That should bring it back and let you reset the options.
While some people like the Start Page, it slows down startup considerably as it requires the Internet Explorer control to be loaded. To turn off the page, go to the My Profile link and select "Show empty environment" in the At Startup combo box.
Even with the Start Page turned off, you can always access previous projects from the bottom of the file menu.
