How can I make the UserControl events and properties appear in the visual editor?

I made a UserControl (C#) with a lot of properties and events. Now, when I include the assembly in some project, I do get the UserControl in the toolbox for the GUI-designer, but in the property-editor (F4) the properties and events do not appear. Do I have to assign some attributes to my UserControl, or how can I make the events and properties appear in the visual editor?
You will have to go the Custom Controls path to get this increased design-time support. It will not be until the next version of VS.NET that UserControls will have this and other design-time features (such as live rendering preview, like custom controls do).
