How can I auto-filter a second list based on what a user selects from the first list?

I have two dropdown list controls on my Web form. When the user selects an option from the first list, I want to fill the second list. The problem I'm having is that it will only work if I place a CMD button on the form and click it. Do I have to do this every time I want to filter the second list? Can I hide this button and call some event that will have the same effect?
What you need is set the AutoPostback property of the dropdown to true. That will fire the postback event, and cause your event handler to be called so you can populate the other list.
