I get this message when trying to create a new ASP.NET Web application: "Visual Studio .NET has detected that the specified Web server is not running ASP.NET version 1.1. You will be unable to run ASP.NET Web applications or services."
I do have the latest VS.NET release installed -- all patches too. I found this link: https://searchwindevelopment.techtarget.com/answer/Reconfigure-ASPNET-with-all-Web-sites-on-your-machine to a similar Ask the Expert question, but IT DOES NOT HELP!
Running "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\aspnet_regiis.exe -I" per the last suggestion did not work (folder and path were correct). Any suggestions?
The solution depends largely on your operating system (Windows 2003 changes the installation procedure a lot for ASP.NET and FrontPage Server Extensions). The folder you should use for the previous command, for v1.1, is v1.1.4322, not the one you used, because that one is for ASP.NET 1.0.
