Correct tab index in presence of user controls
If you are having trouble getting the right tab index in web form fields, especially in the presence of user controls, then try actually removing tabIndex tags from all controls in the form. When the page is sent back to the browser, the tab index of the rendered HTML controls is set according to their appearance in the page.
