Save development time by using inherited forms

Here is a method to save you development time and cost. You can use an inherited form to reuse a set of controls, or code written in another form, without doing any coding.

of design and development standards. Your manager insists that a particular set of controls and related coding in a form be plugged into all the forms. You can create the new form you're developing as an inherited form.

If you right click on the solution and then add an item, you can see the inherited form item. You will be asked which form you want to inherit. Specify the form and you will get a new form with all the controls and code from the inherited form.

You cannot modify the inherited controls on the new form, but you can add new items.
