Category: Client Application Development VantagePoint WPF Controls provide UI components such as sliders and buttons for highly graphical Windows Presentation Foundation development. Category: Components and Controls The company has added a WYSIWYG rich-text editor for its ASP.NET development tool and improved its spell checker. Components for Silverlight and WPF are now available, too. In this release the company has improved ASP.NET AJAX support with browser compatibility, extended client side JavaScript class interfaces, the Nevron Instant Callback technology and more. There are new chart types for WinForms and Web applications, too.
Category: Database Tools TulaSoft's SQL Examiner Suite 2008 offers two synchronization products for database developers and managers. One targets schema; the other, data sets. EntitySpaces provides a persistence layer and business objects for applications that target.NET 2.0 or above. A recent build adds a Join syntax to numerous components. Category: Developer Life Cycle Tools TeamCity 3.0 offers automatic hanging-build detection and a tool for catching duplicate code snippets. There's also a free version for companies with fewer than 20 user accounts. NConstruct, a RAD tool for generating .NET applications, was recently released. It has additional database support (Oracle 9i, 10g; Microsoft Access) and supports Telerik UI components for Web client building. Clarius Consulting's free T4 Editor integrates the design-time experience of Microsoft's Text Templating Transformation Toolkit directly into Visual Studio 2005 or 2008. Category: Mobile Application Development OpenNETCF Consulting's Pararn is an ASP.NET Web server that runs under Windows CE 5.0 and 6.0. It is installed as a managed assembly.
