Farpoint updates spreadsheet tools for Web, client apps

Description: FarPoint Technologies' spreadsheet components for ASP.NET and WinForms applications are compiled against the .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0 and offer more than 300 built-in calculations. Both components were recently released as a new v3.0.

FarPoint Spread for Web Forms now offers Microsoft Outlook-like grouping of rows, conditional formatting of cells, three additional methods for getting an object based on its application tags, four new calculation engine functions and the ability to bind a DataSource to a ComboBox cell.

FarPoint Spread for Windows Forms now offers an annotation mode for freehand drawing, six new cell types (including a data-bindable multiple-column ComboBox), and the ability to save sheets as HTML or XML files.
