Description: Flowfinity Wireless has announced that Flowfinity Actions, its business process management application for BlackBerry smartphones, is now making use of the Windows Communication Foundation to connect those devices to back-end systems. (For the enterprise version of Flowfinity Actions, this back end would likely be SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition, as a license for that edition comes with the Flowfinity product.)
WCF, one of the main technologies in the .NET Framework 3.0 stack, provides a framework for building distributed messaging systems and Web services. Flowfinity Actions uses WCF to expose an API that lets developers integrate wireless workflow into back-end systems.
