Genome adds type mapping, LINQ query capabilities

Description: Genome, an object-relational mapping tool from TechTalk GmbH, provides persistence for .NET classes in relational databases. It generates the data access layer from the class model, and schema mapping to the relational model, provided by the developer. Genome also extends beyond SQL concepts by allowing query snippets to be encapsulated and reused in a strongly typed manner.

The latest edition of Genome, V3.1, adds two type mapping features -- custom database fields and how values are represented in the database. In addition, it now allows programmers to specify LINQ queries in a mapping file and to specify renaming rules while using the Database Reverse Engineering Wizard. Finally, Genome 3.1 supports Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 and the SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition, which accommodates mobile devices.
