Description: Intrinsyc Software has released Soleus 1.0, a product that extends Visual Studio 2005 and leverages the Windows Compact Edition operating system to let developers create UI elements for applications that run on mobile devices. The product's UX Designer tool plus into VS 2005 and takes advantage of the WinCE Platform Builder, which provides drag-and-drop OS configuration.

Soleus comes with several built-in applications, such as an alarm clock, a call history and a media player. Also integrated are third-party apps for gaming, speech recognition, handwriting input and the compression of audio and video files.
