iAnywhere updates Advantage Database Server

Description: Advantage Database Server is a client-server data management system that provides access to both ISAM and SQL tables; this helps developers determine a so-called "growth path" for legacy applications. Version 8.1 adds support for vertical filters on replicated tables, which define which columns are replicated, and support for user-defined functions, in which frequently performed and often complex operations are encapsulated.

In addition, iAnywhere has announced that Advantage Database Server now supports Borland's Turbo Pro line of Windows and .NET application development products. More information on the Turbo line is available in this September 2006 product announcement.
