Description: DataDirect Connect for ADO.NET 3.0 gives application developers access to data stored in Oracle, DB2, Sybase and SQL Server databases. It is built entirely on managed .NET code, which gives developers the performance, security and scalability advantages of running an application in the CLR, said Mark Troester, senior manager, product marketing, DataDirect. In addition, the product is integrated with Visual Studio 2005, which gives developers the ability to pull up a schema viewer or create a SQL statement within VS 2005. "Developers can build an application the way they know how to do to and in an environment where a developer may have to work with multiple databases," Troester said.
