SearchVB.com has reinstated its bimonthly Tip Contest. This gives our members a chance to submit their Visual Basic, .NET, SQL and data access tips, tricks and shortcuts. The author of the tip that earns the highest rating from our users will win a Kenwood home theater system. So far, though, no one has submitted a tip.

What kind of tips do we want?

Well, this tip explains basic ADO.NET operations, and this tip offers advice on deploying Web applications and services.

If you're looking for better ways to manage data access, this tip will fill you in on .NET's application's memory management tool, the garbage collector.

To read about some instant C# converts from VB.NET, click here and read a tip that earned the highest rating possible.

And if all that sounds elementary, then click here to learn how to work with PDF files in a .NET world.

Looks easy enough, right? Click here to submit a tip and learn about our prize. The tip contest ends May 31, and the winner will be announced in early June. Don't miss out on your chance to win a Kenwood home theater system and educate your SearchVB.com peers.
