Vittorio Bertocci, Garrett Serack, and Caleb Baker have authored “Understanding Windows CardSpace” We spoke a little while ago with Bertocci and Baker on the topic.
CardSpace was one of many elements to see light of day with the release of .NET 3.5. It is a well-conceived effort to create a system that establishes identity of computer users in the age of the Internet. Central to the book is a consideration of the Laws of Identity as described by Microsoft security guru Kim Cameron.
As the book’s publicity page states: “Whether you’re a developer, security specialist, or business decision-maker, this book will answer your most crucial questions about identity management, so you can protect everything that matters: your people, your assets, your partners, and your customers.” A free chapter download is available in PDF format on the InformIT.com site.
