Description: Research in Motion, maker of the BlackBerry device, has released a preview version of the BlackBerry Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio. With free plug-in, developers can use Visual Studio 2005 to create BlackBerry client applications with features such as offline data storage, asynchronous data push and secure data access. These applications use the BlackBerry's Mobile Data System runtime and interoperate with back-end systems by using .NET Web services.
The plug-in will be unveiled at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2007 and will be available as a free download later this year, according to RIM.
