Description: DotNetNuke is an open-source framework for creating enterprise Web applications. It comes with a set of hosting, design, content, security and membership options tools. In addition, it can support multiple portals off a single install. Developers can also use Visual Studio 2005, ASP.NET 2.0, Visual Web Developer 2005 and SQL Server 2005 Express when building their applications.
The latest release of DotNetNuke, v.4.5, now supports Microsoft's ASP.NET AJAX framework. For example, the product will add an UpdatePanel wrapper to module content, which means that developers do not need to add ASP.NET AJAX logic to the modules by hand. In addition, DotNetNuke now supports partial rendering and provides a tool that lets developers package their modules for distribution.
