Software localizer adds Vista support, text exporter

Lingobit Localizer lets developers translate software apps into multiple languages. V5.0 supports Windows Vista and includes an export option so strings can be edited elsewhere.

Category: Developer Life Cycle Tool

Description: Lingobit Localizer 5.0 aids developers in the process of software localization, or the translation of a software application into a local language like Dutch. The product supports Win32, Delphi, .NET and Java applications; in the Microsoft world, it supports the .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 and is compatible with Windows Vista.

The product includes productivity tools such as an automated QA engine, version control similar to Microsoft's Visual SourceSafe, and a translation memory tool to ensure that only the new or changed parts of an application need to be translated when a new version is released. In addition, v5.0 introduces the option to import and export a project to UTF8/16 text format, which allows strings to be edited using any external text editor such as Microsoft Word.
