Visual Studio security updates released

Microsoft has released security updates for Visual Studio 2002 and Visual Studio 2003. The patches address a vulnerability that could allow for remote code execution.

As part of its monthly Patch Tuesday, Microsoft has released security updates for Visual Studio 2002 and Visual Studio 2003. The patches address a vulnerability that could allow for remote code execution, giving hackers access to confidential data.

Microsoft has given these patches a security rating of "important" and recommends that "customers…apply the update at the earliest opportunity."

These patches do not apply to Visual Studio 2005 or Windows Vista, Microsoft said.
