Description: Mainsoft's Grasshopper 2.0, now available as a technical preview, is a Visual Studio plug-in that enables ASP.NET 2.0 applications written in C# to be deployed on Java-enabled platforms. This allows Web sites to combine .NET 2.0's myriad of Web project functionality -- from authentication and authorixation to master pages and the GridView -- with databases such as Linux, Tomcat and IBM Cloudscape, a version of which comes bundled with the Grasshopper 2.0 preview.
