Description: Tibco Software has announced that the beta version of General Interface 3.2, its Ajax development toolkit, is available with an open-source license. Through the General Interface Builder, users can drag and drop 100 customizable GUI, data and communications components into their applications. The builder also features step-through debugging. Deployment is carried out through the General Interface Framework; applications can exist as embedded components within an html page, as portlets with drag-and-drop functionality or as entire applications. In addition, the framework includes a client-side XML data cache for improved app performance. The product is compatible with .NET, WebLogic and WebSphere.
