QUESTION POSED ON: 18 January 2004
I am manipulating a text document through VB.NET, where I enter and remove text based on conditions. For one of the "situations," if a string matches my condition, I need to remove that line of data, the line ABOVE it and continue to remove data until it matches another condition. I have tried 'Do while' and 'Do until loops,' and it is not working properly. I cannot get the program to remove the line above the specific string... Any suggestions?

Put your data into a reader and separate it into lines in a collection or array list. Then you should be able to easily manipulate the text on a line by line basis.
