I'm using VS.NET 2003. When I debug, VS freezes. It builds and compiles, but the debugger won't run. I can run without debugging. I have tried on several programs (C++ console applications) and I get the same results. The only way to kill it is CTRL-ALT-DEL.
Yikes! This certainly sounds like you've got a corrupt VS.NET installation. Go into Add/Remove Programs and do a repair install of VS.NET to get everything straightened out.
