Setup says to insert XP Pro SP 1 CD, but I already installed it
I'm trying to install Visual Studio .NET Academic 2003 on a Windows XP Professional machine. The program says I must install IIS. But when I try to use Add/Remove Windows Components to install IIS, I get a message saying to insert the Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD. I have already downloaded the complete SP1a. How do I get around this?

What's happening is that you've installed Windows XP from a CD that included Service Pack 1. Just downloading the Service Pack isn't good enough for installation as the installation is looking for files that are part of the original CD. Pop your installation CD into your CD-ROM drive and you should be all set.
